Shaye Faulkner is a Tennis Australia Club Professional Qualified Coach and Exercise Scientist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science, specialising in Advanced Coaching Methods and Performance Enhancement. With 19 years of playing experience and 9 years of coaching experience, Shaye is also a Tennis Australia Coach Developer and holds accreditation as a Level 1 Sports Trainer with Sports Medicine Australia. Additionally, she possesses Certificates III & IV in Fitness and has undertaken study in Wellbeing Coaching, and Mentoring in Sports, Shaye is always looking to expand her knowledge and qualifications further.
Shaye is a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and passionate coach who genuinely cares about her players’ development, both on and off the court. She fosters a positive, inclusive, and high-performance training culture, always upholding the core values and philosophy of My Tennis Coach.
Her coaching approach is holistic and evidence-based, integrating technical and tactical player development plans with coaching strategies grounded in academic research. Shaye places a strong emphasis on developing fundamental movement patterns, enhancing tactical awareness, and promoting situational adaptability to empower players to perform at their best in both training and competition.
